Aeotec Multisensor 6

Vera (Edge/Plus)

This sensor has been on the market for a while so adding to this controller should not cause too many problems. This sensor works via USB and via the supplied battery. As a first step, it is useful to determine which variant you will use. If you are going to use the USB, remove the cover on the back, remove the battery and connect the cable and of course a USB adapter. If you go for the battery variant then you naturally also remove the cover and remove the tab from the battery.

The LED on the front will now change color.

Then log in to the Vera and go to your devices. Then click on "add new device" and search for the Multisensor 6. For a change I see him in the list and I start adding. Then I press the add button on the sensor. The sensor was found immediately and see the LED on the front flashing green and then flashing yellow to indicate that the addition was successful.

On the Vera dashboard, I do indeed see a motion sensor, lux meter, temperature meter and UV meter. Completely complete. I notice that the movement is not registered in the first instance. You can solve this by pressing the button on the back of the sensor. You wake him up with that. After this the movements do come in.

In the example below we use both the motion sensor and the lux sensor of the Aeotec. Because if there is movement and the lux is lower than 5, we want the lamp in the hall to be switched on.
