Eco-DIM.07 - Zigbee

Conclusion:

With this smart dimmer you can switch your lamp on and off remotely and of course you can dim it. It can be operated via a rotary knob, contrary to what often other smart dimmers can do. You have to operate this via a pulse switch. Which means you have to press the button to dim. Most users are not used to this.

Connecting can be done using a 2 wire method, so without a blue wire. There is a schedule in the manual so this should speak for itself. The dimmer is 35mm deep, making installation in a 40mm box quite a bit tight. So make sure you either have a deeper box or you don't have too many extra wires.

Different covering materials are supported such as Berker by Hager, Busch-Jaeger (except 6540-7x)
Gira, JUNG and Merten. So you can connect this dimmer nicely to your other cover frames.

A cover frame and dim button are also included.

It works via the Zigbee protocol so make sure your controller supports it. The following controllers are supported:

- Google Assistant/Google Home
- Amazon Alexa
- Philips Hue
- HOMEY
- Futurehome
- Trust
- Aduro Smart
- Samsung SmartThings
- WINK

Unsuitable:

- Ikea TRÅDFRI (can be linked via Touchlink, not visible in the app)
- Apple HomeKit

Where the first 2 requires a controller and where we did not get the Ikea hub working.

The lamps we tested work fine and we ran into no problems here. You can also connect LED, halogen and incandescent lamps. With the first 2 the maximum power is 200W and with the last 300W. This should generally be more than sufficient.

Can be operated via rotary knob
Fits many different cover systems
2 wire connection
