Eco-DIM.07 - Zigbee

Installation on the Ikea Tradfri hub:

We will also try to install this dimmer on the Ikea Tradfri Hub. The first step is to remove the old dimmer. Make sure you take the power off and unscrew it completely. Then install the Eco-DIM according to the enclosed diagram. Only 2 wires need to be connected so this shouldn't be very complicated. Do not screw it all in yet and wait a while before turning the power back on.

We now start the APP and go to "settings" and then to management lamps and press the plus. The dimmer cannot be directly linked to the HUB so this must be done via a remote control. We also take these.

Then we supply the dimmer with power and reset it by pressing the reset button for 10 seconds. The LED will light up red and then go out. Now we press the reset button 4 times in a row. We now start the adding procedure on the HUB by clicking on Bulb and then also on remote control. Then press the button on the back of the remote and hold it for 10 seconds. The lamp should then flash. Unfortunately this did not happen to me.

Because I do not give up quickly, I have tried some other methods that are in the manual (including Tochlink) but unfortunately this did not work. To make sure that my remote control still works, I added an Ikea lamp in the same way. This went well in one go.

So I have to conclude that this dimmer does not work this way.
