Review:
Fibaro Heat Controller Radiator Thermostat
Installation on Home Assistant (HASS):
We are also going to add these smart faucets to Home Assistant's free system. You can install this software on different types of hardware. We use an RPI3 with the Aeotec USB sticks and the open Z-Wave library.
We start by removing the old thermostatic valve. You do not need any tools for this, but water pump pliers can be useful if your tap is a bit stuck. Once you've removed the old one, screw on the Heat Controller. If this does not fit, different adapters are included that you can use to get it to fit. When it is stuck, we press the button at the bottom for 1 second. The LED on the front will light up.
It is now also easy to connect the supplied temperature sensor. You can do this by removing the cover at the back and removing the sticker near the battery. Then we press into the hole with the supplied pin. Now the LED will flash green 5x to indicate that it is paired. If this does not work, keep the button on the thermostat pressed until the LED turns blue and then press again to select. Wait and then press the pin into the sensor. You will then see the tap's LED ring flash green 5x to indicate that the pairing has been successful.
Now the faucet is ready to add it to the Home Assistant. Let's go to your configuration and then to Z-Wave JS. Then click on "add device" to start adding. HASS gives a short message that the adding has started.
To start adding on the tap, press the button at the bottom 3 times in succession. It is found immediately and the LED first turns white and then red. Now we repeat this operation again to really add it. After entering the SDK code (this is on the packaging), the LED first turns white again and then flashes green. After that, we see it appear on my devices.
As soon as you turn on the tap, a one-time calibration will take place to determine what the open/close position is. Give the whole thing 10 minutes to get the right temperature. So be patient.

Let's make an example: when we are away from home, the thermostat is turned off.
