Review
Fibaro Walli Switch
Conclusion:
With this Switch you can remotely switch a lamp on or off and it measures the energy of the connected lamp. You can view the total and current consumption.
Because it only provides an on/off signal, you can connect all types of lamps. This switch has 2 channels so you can connect 2 lamps (and control them separately).
The great thing about the Walli is that technical control is behind the switch. So you don't see this switch is smart. You install it as a whole, so you don't have to fiddle with a separate separate module.
It is elegantly designed and has a round LED ring that lights up when you turn it on. Operation is by pressing the top of the button to turn it on and the bottom to turn it off.
Connecting the Walli is not very complicated. A clear diagram is included and it is a matter of removing the old dimmer and connecting the new one. You can connect a maximum of 16A of lamps to it and 13A per channel.
It works via the wireless Z-Plus protocol and is for sale for € 76.50. This is not the cheapest solution, because then it is better to opt for a separate built-in dimmer. But if you include your switching material, the costs are higher. You can also continue to use your own trusted switching material thanks to a separate set-up.
So: Are you looking for an elegant way to make your lamps really smart? Then the Walli Switch is your partner.
