Installation on the Aeotec Smart Home Hub - Smartthings:

The next hub that is supported is the hub of Aeotec. We are going to add it by launching the APP and going to our devices. We then press the plus sign and look for the brand Friend in the list. Now we need to select the motion sensor. In the next step you will be asked to press and hold the button for 15 seconds. In our case this is not necessary because we are adding this sensor for the first time, so we only have to put in the batteries.

After waiting a few seconds, we see the LED flashing and see it appear in the APP. It takes a while for the movement to register. We can see the temperature immediately.

Operation:

If motion is detected, a signal will be sent to the hub. After 4 minutes, "no movement" is automatically detected again (if of course nothing moves).

We notice that we do not see the light meter appear, the temperature sensor is present, as is the battery level. The temperature sensor is automatically updated after a minimum of 1 minute or a maximum of 10 minutes if there is a change of 0.1 degrees.

Example routine:

We create a routine that uses the motion sensor and the light meter. We ensure that if there is movement and the light meter is lower than 5 lux, the lamp can be switched on. This prevents the lamp from switching on unnecessarily during the day.
