Friend Smart Plug Mini

Competition:

In the field of Zigbee intermediate plugs, more and more manufacturers are starting to come up with the intermediate plugs. We are going to compare the Friend with Philips HUE between plug, INNR Smart Plug, Xiaomi Smart Plug, Osram plug and the Ikea plug-in switch.

If we start with the Ikea plug-in, it is the cheapest of the bunch. You can already buy it for 9.99. On the other hand, this plug is rather bulky/big. The Friend wins here because it is super compact and almost as big as the plug itself. Similar is the plug from INNR, it is also quite compact.

The INNR and Friend has the least maximum power to be connected, which is 10A. The same goes for the Philips. The Friend is the most expensive of the bunch with a retail price of €37.95.

Then I think we've had every version except the Osram. This one stands out because it is quite large, almost twice the size of the INNR. Finally, I would like to mention that the Ikea variant does not have a button to switch it on/off. This is not very practical

Then we are left with the compatibility with the different Hub. The Friend scores the least here because it currently only works with the Homey and SmartThings Hub.

Which adapter is the best choice? Do you go for the cheapest and can the on/off button be stolen from you? Then Ikea is the best choice. Are you going for the smallest? (and most favorably priced) then the INNR is a great option.
