IKEA TRÅDFRI - Wireless control outlet

Competition:

There are not many Zigbee plugs on the market. This is because Zigbee was mainly focused on lighting / lamps. In recent years you have seen more and more brands come with an adapter. That is great for us because there is a lot of choice and products become cheaper.

The following alternatives are available for this plug:
- Osram
- Philips HUE Smart Plug
- INNR Smart Plug

The Ikea is the cheapest with its € 9.95 and second comes the Osram (€ 15.00) and then the Philiips and INNR, these are both around € 30.00. In terms of power to be connected, they are all around 16A (3840W), except the INNR, which can handle a maximum of 2200W.

The format of the different plugs is not very different. The smallest is the INNR and the largest the Osram. If I have to mention a difference is that the Ikea is the only one of the plugs that does not have an on/off button. Last difference is that the INNR has an energy measurement when you use it together with the Homey, these others do not.

So which one should I buy? If you go for price and maximum power, the Ikea is the winner. If you want a nice slim plug, go for the INNR or the Philips.
