Review:
Neo Coolcam Door sensor
Competition:
There is quite a bit of competition in the field of door/window sensors that work with Z-Wave. I compare the most used versions.
Here they are:
- Fibaro Door/Window v2
- Aeotec Door/Window 7
- Sensative Strip
If we start with the Neo Coolcam, it is noticeable that it is larger than the other three mentioned. The Sensative is the smallest of the three but the longest. This version also has a built-in battery that should last 10 years. While we're on the subject, we can mention that the Neo Coolcam has a USB connection to always provide it with power.
The Sensative, Neo coolcam and Aeotec both have the 700 series Z-Wave chip and are therefore better prepared for the future. If you are looking for a sensor with a humidity meter, then you need the Neo Coolcam because the other sensors don't have this. The Fibaro and Neo Coolcam have a built-in temperature sensor.
Finally, we look at the price here, the Neo Coolcam is the cheapest with its 20 euros. The most expensive is the Sensative is the most expensive with its € 49.95.
It is a bit difficult to draw a conclusion but if you are looking for the smallest then Fibaro is your buddy and you are looking for some more sensors and the large does not matter? Then the Neo Coolcam is a good alternative. If you don't want to change batteries, the Neo Coolcam is the only option.
