Review:
Neo Coolcam Motion Sensor (5in1)
Conclusion:
This new sensor from Neo Coolcam is a 5 in 1 sensor. In addition to a motion sensor, you get a temperature sensor, light sensor and humidity sensor. The last sensor is one to detect whether the cover on the back has been removed. This is an extra sabotage alarm, making the sensor also suitable for use in your alarm setup.
It works via the Z-Wave plus protocol and is equipped with the new 700 chip. As a result, it reacts faster, is better protected and is more economical with the battery. Your controller must of course support this.
It can be powered by two CR123A batteries or via USB. A cable is included for this, you have to arrange the adapter yourself. This can be a standard USB adapter.
It is a bit large with its 68x56x56mm compared to the competition, so you can pick it up a little less conspicuously. A bracket is included with which you can easily attach it.
The tamper alarm does not work on all controllers and unfortunately nothing works at all with the Homey. So there is still some work to be done for Neo Coolcam.
It is for sale for around € 33.00.
