Review:
Philips HUE Bridge 2.0
Routines:
With Routines it is possible to make rules / automate things. Without this possibility you actually have only a simple on and off system. The Philips Hue Bridge 2.0 has 5 standard routines; Home & Away, Wake up, Go to sleep, Other routines and Timers. There is also an option to use a routine from other Apps (Other apps).
It is quite simple to use and set up, in the examples we walk through them all:
Home & Away:
To use this you need an account or log in automatically with your google account. For this test we first create a test account and then we can set whether we want to switch off the lights when leaving (Leaving home) and / or switch on when we come home (Coming home). Keep in mind that your location must always be on on your phone and that this App may not be in battery saving modes:
Wake up:
With the Wake up routine you can create a nice wake up scenario. The light flows smoothly to a certain strength. So wake up wonderfully like people do with a wake-up light. You indicate what time this should start, which days of the week and how long it should take before your light is completely on.
Go to sleep:
This is the same principle as the “wake up”, but then the light goes out at a certain time and days during the week at a certain time.
Other routines:
With this you can perform an action at a certain time or when the sun goes up or down. In this example, we turn on the light immediately when the sun goes down.
Timers:
With a “Timer” you can perform an action when a certain time has passed. In this example, we will flash the light when 6 hours have passed. This way you can make different timers and it might be fun to cook your egg :)
Other apps:
I assume that you can find things like your Google home / assistant, Alexa, Apple HomeKit, Cortana, Logitech, Samsung SmartTings, XFINITY Home, VIVVINT Smart Home and Razer.
But I do not have these things and it is therefore empty with me:
