The Neo CoolCam Power plug Wifi is cheaper than the Z-wave or Zigbee version, but if you do not adjust the firmware, you are stuck with the Smart Life App and you cannot access it with a controller. If you adjust the firmware you can address the Power Plug with the API with any controller, only you will miss the feedback from the Power Plug. There are a number of controllers incorporated in the custom firmware, but these are not the big brands. The feedback of the power consumption is also missing and if you want this information this is a loss.

Opzicht works fine with the Power Plug via the web API and I have made a few Lupa rules to switch certain things on and off. Enough for me to do what I want with it and it is stable. So if you want a cheap Power Plug then this is a great solution, but then you have to spend some time to put the custom firmware on it. I personally enjoyed doing it, but if you don't want to or can't do this, I advise you to take the slightly more expensive Z-wave or Zigbee version. You can then easily connect the Power Plug to your own controller and you do not have to spend a lot of time on it.
