Qubino Luxy Smart Switch
Installation via Home Assistant (HASS):
The bottom line is again, as usual, the open source smart home system from Home Assistant. You can run this software on different hardware. We use an RPI with an Aeotec USB Z-Wave stick.
The first step is to take the power off the file switch and disconnect it. We then install the smart switch using the supplied schematic. Make sure there is a blue wire, you will need it.
Now that we have done the installation, we log in to Hass via your browser and go to your configuration and then to Z-Wave. Then click on "add node secure" to start adding.
You can do this by turning on the power and pressing the right button (3) and then the bottom button (4). The LED will light up white, then press and hold the right button for 4-6 seconds. The LED will now flash green and light up green after 10 seconds.
Unfortunately the Luxy is not added properly and I cannot operate it. I also submitted this problem to Qubino. They indicate that HASS uses Open Z-Wave version 1.4 and that the Luxy only works well with the 1.6 version. There are of course ways (Z-Wave> MQTT) to get this to 1.6, but to be honest, the chance that your other Z-Wave devices will no longer work because of this.
So we have to wait for HASS to support this properly.
