Review:
Xiaomi Aqara Window Door Sensor
We have a new Xiaomi smart product that we will be handling. This time the window and door sensor.
Do you want to detect if your door / window is open? Then this sensor is handy to have. It works via a magnet. Which, when the door is open, does not make contact with the sensor. Because of this he knows that the door is open. With this sensor you can easily ensure that when you open a door, a light comes on. You can also use it as a supplement to your alarm system. It should be noted that this sensor has no tamper / tamper alarm. So in theory the burglar can take him from your door without sending a signal.
It works via the Zigbee protocol and is powered by a CR1632. This battery is not very easily available. But if you order it online, it can be purchased for around 80 cents. With its size you can hang it invisibly. It is only 4.10 x 2.20 x 1.10 cm in size. What makes him not the smallest on the market (that is his brother), but a lot smaller than his Z-Wave variants.
At the front there is a small LED, which is used for adding. At the bottom there is a button to add it to the controller. More about this later. It comes with a double-sided sticker for hanging. It cannot be hung with a screw.
It is for sale between € 7.50 and € 15.00 depending on where you buy it.
