Installation via the Xiaomi Gateway/Mi Home:

You can start adding by logging in to the gateway and going to the device section. Then click on "Add child device" and look for the window / door sensor.

To start adding, press the button on the bottom for 3 seconds. The LED will flash blue when the addition has been started and the gateway will display a nice Chinese text. So don't be scared.

As a tip, it is also given that after placing at the final location, the button is pressed once more. Make sure you align the lines on the side of the sensor and the magnet well. Also make sure there is no more than 3 mm space between the magnet and the sensor.
