Review:
Xiaomi Mi Home
We are going to add some different devices to test the controller properly.
Door and window sensor:
This set comes with a door and window sensor that you can use to detect whether a window / door is open or closed. What immediately strikes you after opening the package is the size. He is really super small with his 41x20x11mm. It is powered by a CR1632 button cell battery. Just like the gateway, it uses Zigbee. You can use the supplied stickers to hang it up. There is no possibility to screw it down.
What also stands out is the reaction time, this is super fast.

Installation:
Installing this sensor continues by going to the APP and clicking on the plus sign to search for the door sensor. You can start adding it on the door sensor by pressing a pin in the hole. If the sensor hangs on its final spot, you have to press a pin in the hole again.

Motion Sensor (PIR)
This package also includes a motion detector, which is also super small. With this sensor it is possible to detect movements. Handy for an alarm system or to make sure that a light comes on when you walk past it.
The addition is done in the same way as the door / window sensor. So we go back to the gateway and press the plus sign. Then we look for the sensor and press a pin in the hole on the side.
He was neatly added and saw the movements appear in the log. It strikes me, incidentally, that there is never a "no movement" (even though this message does exist). Another point about the logging, this goes by the minute. This makes testing more difficult.

The installation is the same like the door/window sensor.

Fibaro Motion sensor versus Xiaomi Motion sensor:
In terms of size, the Xiaomi beats Fibaro, although it does not save a centimeter, it is slightly smaller. The Fibaro has a good suspension system, which you can turn in all directions, even after you have attached it. The Xiaomi has to do with a double-sided sticker. Incidentally, there is a mounting bracket, but this makes the sensor 2x as large.
Another striking point is that nothing can be set on the sensor itself. So, for example, no sensitivity, which is a major loss. So if you have a cat, I would leave this sensor.
Button
This set also comes with a button that you can use to start various scenes. There are 3 options for this: click once, click twice and click 3 times. Adding is again done by clicking on the plus sign and looking up the button. Then there is a hole at the bottom where you have to press a pin. Pay attention, not that you are pushing the LED.
The button also uses a CR2032 button cell battery.
