Xiaomi/Honeywell Smoke Detector

Installation on the Xiaomi MI Home/Gateway:

The next gateway is that of Xiaomi itself. I use the MI home gateway and therefore not the latest Xiaomi Hub (EU version). The smoke detector does not work with the latter.

Install the battery first and wait for the self testing to finish (the beeping has stopped). To start adding, log in via the APP and go to the Gateway. Then click on "Add child device" and find the sensor.

You can start adding it by pressing the button on the front of the smoke detector and waiting for a beep and then releasing it. Repeat 3 times. Make sure you don't press too fast!

He was found quite immediately and see him appear in the APP.

Operation:

As soon as smoke is detected, it will send a signal to the controller.

Via the settings you can set a reminder that you have to check whether the smoke detector is still working properly. So you can test by pressing the button on the front. The LED will then flash red and illuminate 1x yellow. He also gives 1 beep.
