Review:
RobbSmarrt Rotary dimmer Z-Wave 2-wire
Competition:
More and more smart rotary dimmers are coming onto the market. This is of course a good development. If we look at the Z-Wave protocol, the only competitor is the Eco-Dim 07 Z-Wave. We have not tested it yet (coming). But if we compare these with the RobbSmarrt, you see that they are almost equal. Both have an energy measurement, so you can view the total consumption and current consumption. Both can dim and of course switch the whole off and on (which makes sense for a dimmer :)).
Both dimmers can handle different types of cover frames/switching material and the installation depth is also the same. Also, the support of the various types of lamps is the same for both.
Is there a difference then? Yes, that is partly due to the price. The RobbSmarrt is available from 79.95 and the Eco-DIM from 105.00. Another difference is that the Robbsmarrt has a maximum connectable power of 300W and the Eco-DIM 200W.
We are going to test the Eco-DIM extensively and will adjust this part if necessary.
